More about me

Being originally from Hong Kong, hustling is basically ingrained in my DNA. From kindergarten to retirement, hard work and continuous learning are just part of life for us. I thrive on that constant grind, balancing multiple research projects at once and working diligently to publish new findings. This dedicated mindset is deeply ingrained in my identity.

But I'm not just a research machine (though it is a part of me). I have varied interests outside the office. Basketball is undoubtedly one of my biggest passions, which I've loved since the 5th grade. Though no longer a competitive athlete, playing basketball remains an integral way for me to unwind and stay active.

Another passion of mine is traveling - experiencing different cultures firsthand and learning about their rich histories fascinates me endlessly. Gaining these global perspectives shapes how I understand others, adapt to new environments, and even approach consumer research.

And, of course, like many others my age, I enjoy browsing social media in my spare time - not just reading posts, but comments and trends too. These activities keep me updated on what's popular and often spark new research ideas. Observing online discussions, even memes, helps me identify consumer phenomena, inspires my research hypotheses, and enriches my teaching overall.

In essence, work, basketball, travel, and social media are the four main parts of my life. I'm always striving to balance academics with an active lifestyle and curiosity about the world around me.
